1. adidas Yeezy 500 “Blush”
Launch Date: 16/01/2018
The first-ever Yeezy 500 to launch to the masses was the “Blush” colorway. like numerous Yeezys, the silhouette had been previewed months earlier as part of Kanye’s season 6 collection, where it was originally referred to as the “Desert Rat”, although this nickname has subsided by the time of release.

2. adidas Yeezy 500 “Super Moon Yellow”
Launch Date: 09/06/2018
Next up comes the “Super Moon Yellow”, which saw official release in June 2018. Interestingly, numerous Yeezy fans managed to get their hands on this colorway months before the OG “Blush” even launched as part of a US-exclusive Yeezy bundle that came with a matching hoodie and shorts (retailing for $760).

3. adidas Yeezy 500 “Utility Black”
Launch Date: 07/07/2018
The Yeezy 500 “Utility Black” is possibly one of the most successful variants of the silhouette to date. It was originally unveiled as a F&F exclusive “Shadow Black” that showcases a purple-like shade across the uppers, however the final release version ditched this exclusive addition. It’s worth noting that this colorway also saw a re-release back in November 2020.

4. adidas Yeezy 500 “Salt”
Launch Date: 30/11/2018
Continuing his love for neutral-colours, Kanye’s next take on the 500 came in the form of the “Salt”. The model once again uses premium suede and mesh across the uppers for a high-end feel that sits neatly with the colorway. If you didn’t already know, the Yeezy 500 doesn’t use increase technology and instead borrows adiPRENE technology, with the sole unit borrowed from Kobe Bryant’s KB8 III from all the way back in 1999!

5. adidas Yeezy 500 “Bone White”
Launch Date: 24/08/2019
After a long hiatus, the Yeezy 500 returned in August 2019 in a clean “Bone White” colorway. While not too dissimilar from the previous iteration, this time around the model was decked out in much purer white, providing a much more conventional look. For the first time ever the pair was also available in full-family sizing, allowing sneakerheads to deck out their kids with matching heat!

6. adidas Yeezy 500 “Soft Vision”
Launch Date: 02/11/2019
Once again varying the conventional Yeezy colorways for something different, Kanye and adidas launched the Yeezy 500 “Soft Vision in November 2019. The pair was decked out in a pinkish-hue throughout with a gum-rubber midsole rounding off the look perfectly. These were a fairly limited release and are still a grail for numerous sneakerheads today!

7. adidas Yeezy 500 “Stone”
Launch Date: 23/11/2019
Fresh off the back of the last release came the next Yeezy 500 colorway, this time around titled “Stone”. instead of the typical suede and mesh uppers, this variant instead chose cushioned neoprene-like panels, giving the pair a much more winter-ready look. The colorway itself provided up a very familiar desert-khaki hue.

8. adidas Yeezy 500 High “Slate”
Launch Date: 16/12/2019
December 2019 saw the Yeezy 500 silhouette reimagined into a high-top version. This gave the design in general a chunkier look and feel, making these the ideal winter season steppers with apparent similarities to the Yeezy DSRT BOOT that launched around the same time period. other than the high-top addition, the rest of the 500 remains as we know it.

9. adidas Yeezy 500 High “Tyrian”
Launch Date: 16/05/2020
Last but not least comes the Yeezy 500 Tyrian, the second-ever high-top variant of the 500 and also the most recent release on this list at the time of writing. Decked out in a brown shade with hits of deep blue, the Tyrian also provided up a refreshed lacing system with toggle-closure. While we loved this release, it wasn’t for everyone and even ended up on sale in select retailers!
